At Salado Creek Dental, we firmly believe that prevention is better than a cure. This means that if you establish a disciplined dental hygiene routine at an early age, you probably won’t need many restorative treatments for most of your life!

We encourage patients to start bringing their kids in for routine check-ups as soon as the little ones pop their very first tooth. This allows us to keep records of any developmental defects, habits that may lead to dental alignment issues, and routines that may leave kids prone to caries, or tooth decay. The sooner we diagnose any of these issues, the better we can fix them, making sure you and your kids don’t have to lose natural teeth at a young age. Early diagnosis makes for better prognosis and fixing dental issues as soon as they are detected saves you from having to have expensive dental treatments as an adult. We perform a number of preventive treatments to make sure your little ones stay as far away from tooth decay as possible. The most effective ones include fluoride treatment and fissure sealant application. We also like to keep the young ones’ dentition in check to see if they’ll be needing early orthodontic intervention to correct jaw rotation or other dental alignment issues.

There are various different types of adult dental procedures that we perform at the clinic as well. They are broadly categorized into:

A

Restorative dentistry, which deals with repairing teeth that have sustained structural damage and need to be restored for better functionality in the mouth. This includes all kinds of fillings, restorative and root canal treatments.

A

Orthodontic dentistry, which deals with the correction of skeletal and dental mal-alignment, spacing or crowding of arches, bite related issues, and making the teeth appear straighter for a more attractive and healthier smile.

A

Cosmetic dentistry, which deals with enhancing the aesthetics of the smile

A

Prosthodontic dentistry, which deals with replacing missing teeth in the oral cavity

A

General dentistry, which may include procedures like the removal of decayed or impacted teeth from the oral cavity.

A

Emergency dentistry, which involves medical intervention required to save natural teeth and soft tissues in case of accidents or decay.
